Wiki Edit 1.2 in Testing

by Don Kosak - September 20th, 2010.

Version 1.2 of Wiki Edit includes several features requested by customers. I’m working hard to get this release tested and into Apple’s approval queue as quickly as possible.

This version includes:

  • Support for Self-Signed SSL Certificates
  • Support for HTTP Basic Authentication
  • Support for HTTP Digest Authentication
  • Use of Apple’s Key Chain for securing credentials
  • Streamlining of Web Browser Code
  • Rapid Wiki Detection and Parsing
  • 12 Browser and Editor Themes (Bamboo, Teak, Marble, etc.)
  • A new icon

I will keep folks posted on Twitter ( @WikiEdit ) as testing, submission, and approval proceeds. In the meanwhile, here are a few screenshots of the new features.

Here is the Digest Authentication login popover (and Teak Wood browser theme):

Here is the Self-Signed Certificate Challenge popover (and Bamboo browser theme):

And here is a peak at the new icon:

Please let me know if you have any comments or suggestions to improve Wiki Edit.

Best regards,

- Don
